Welcome, to MI Little Cooks!

I’m Jessi, a family culinary dietitian who’s passionate about food neutrality, helping kids build a healthy relationship with food, teaching cooking skills at a young age, and making mealtimes easier (and more fun!) for families.

At MI Little Cooks, I create a welcoming space where kids, teens and families can explore the kitchen without pressure in Muskegon, Michigan. From crafting colorful, homemade pasta to assembling fun fruit and sandwich kabobs, my hands-on cooking classes are designed to spark creativity and foster confidence with food. I believe in teaching from a place of food neutrality, where all foods are treated equally, and kids feel empowered to explore without the expectation to taste or try anything they’re not ready for.

Kids can cook! My mission is to inspire curiosity about food, nurture life-long skills, and create joyful experiences for families. MI Little Cooks is perfect for a variety of occasions, including community events, parent-child bonding activities, or even private gatherings.

Hi! I’m Jessi, your new favorite family focused culinary dietitian. I help little hands explore big flavors through fun, hands-on cooking classes for kids and families. With MI Little Cooks, I make learning to cook a creative and confidence-building experience! Learn more about me here!

Things to Know!

MI Little Cooks is currently a mobile kitchen meaning our classes can be offered anywhere!

I aim for the classes to be nut-free however, some ingredients we use may come from facilities that process nuts. Prior to classes an allergy form will be requested and will need to be completed prior to class.

Our classes are not specifically gluten-free, soy-free, or dairy-free, but they focus on being plant-forward and vegetarian, offering creative and wholesome recipes that celebrate seasonal, family-friendly snacks and meals. We’re here to help kids and families learn, play, and enjoy cooking together!
